Alltop – The site for blogs

I recently did a post for Alltop’s social media page however I realized there is much more to Alltop that you should know about then just this section. Go to Alltop and you will find blogs in pretty much every category imaginable. It also shows you the last five feeds of these blogs so you can see what stories are floating around today.

The person behind the site is Guy Kawasaki who is dedicated to teaching others about online marketing and has a huge following. Check him out on twitter/guykawasaki he has over 53,000 followers! He got the idea for Alltop from popurl which aggregates blogs, video, audio in a similar way.

I use Alltop to look for stories that might be interesting to my blog followers and post links to them. This is a great way of getting new followers and building a brand around yourself. Check it out, I’m sure you’ll fall in love.

As you are probably aware, Twitter apps are popping up all over the place. One really great Twitter app is Mr. Tweet. Simply follow Mr. Tweet at http://twitter.com/mrtweet and he will direct message you a list of influencer’s related to what you have been tweeting about that you might want to follow. This morning I just got a list of 200 big time online marketers sent to me!

I have been super busy recently which is why there are no book reviews. There will be very soon, the books have been read they just need to be blogged about.

Dumb Annoying Bad Marketing

This is exactly what I’m talking about. This is spam marketing via social networking that is just a waste of time. Notice that they are following 1,220 people and only have 16 followers. Whoever is doing this is wasting their time.
